Abstract
This article offers an empirical and theoretical inquiry into how the emergent field of trans health can be productively read with and through feminist health formations. It explores connections (tense and otherwise) between trans health and feminist health, and it brings critical theorizing of feminist health practices to bear on how trans health is currently fashioned, situated, and represented. It asks how trans studies might begin to map health, technoscience, and medicine in ways that extend or exceed the medicalization critiques that form cornerstones of scholarship in trans studies, as they did in feminist women's health. In so doing, it draws upon feminist theorizing of technoscience and reproductive health as generative sites for reflection and analysis. The article employs data from an ethnographic study of trans-health providers and activists in metropolitan areas in the United States and Argentina.
