Expanding the Repertoire of Trans Masculinities: The Cultural Legacy of Original Plumbing

Evan Vipond is a PhD candidate in gender, feminist, and women's studies at York University, in Tkaronto/Toronto, Canada. Their research explores trans rights, critical politics, and cultural representation. Vipond's work on transnormativity in popular culture appears in the anthology TransNarratives (2021). Their work has also been published in a/b: Auto/Biography Studies (2019), Canadian Review of Social Policy (2017), Gender and Education (2017), Western Journal of Legal Studies (2015), and Theory in Action (2015). They are the cochair of the board of directors for JusticeTrans, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to access to justice for trans people in Canada.
