At spielart, six invited curators, Rolf Abderhalden (Bogotá), Jelili Atiku (Lagos), Anja Dirks (Fribourg), Ahmed El Attar (Cairo), Judy Hussie-Taylor (New York), and Ong Keng Sen (Singapore), came together to discuss their regional curatorial practices. Here, the authors outline the main discussions that resulted from the festival, from issues of representation and ghettoization of artists to the challenges of the so-called white cube phenomenon.
