In this article, Andrew Friedman profiles the work of European choreographer and performance maker Mårten Spångberg, which he suggests trades in a radically expansive understanding of choreography in order to play with its perceptual experiences of “contemporaneity” and complicate easy consumerist habits of spectatorship promoted in neoliberal culture and media.
