The Rap on Euripides: Creating New Texts in Urban Schools

The following interview was conducted after the first stage of an ongoing project, an adaptation of Euripides' Electra incorporating rap music, developed with students at a New Haven high school. Since Susan Mendelsohn has functioned on this project as playwright, dramaturg, teacher, and director, she has taken on the role of interviewer as well, so she could assess the process from every angle and make it complete.
