The Governor Asks Us to Pray for Rain

Cindy King is the author of Zoonotic (2022), Lesser Birds of Paradise (2022), and Easy Street (2021). Her poems have appeared in The Sun, Threepenny Review, Callaloo, North American Review, Prairie Schooner, Antioch Review, Gettysburg Review, Cincinnati Review, and elsewhere. She is an associate professor of creative writing at Utah Tech University and editor of Route 7 Review and Southern Quill. She also enjoys serving on the editorial board of the Seneca Review and screening scripts for the Blank Theatre in Hollywood, California.
