We argue that the Gilets Jaunes have contributed to the radicalization of climate justice by claiming ecological and territorial autonomy. The political centrality of social reproduction in the movement, as well as its quasi-insurrectional forms of struggle, have created a space that reconfigures the terrain of political ecology in France, producing effects of “Gilet Jaune-ification.”
