From Harm Reduction to Reproductive Justice: Lawyering in the Post-Dobbs Landscape

Farah Diaz-Tello is senior counsel and legal director at If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice, which works to transform the legal landscape so people can determine if, when, and how to create and sustain families with dignity and without fear of violence or coercion from the state. Her work includes litigation, policy advocacy, and applied research to ensure that people can enjoy their full human rights as they make decisions about abortion, pregnancy, and birthing. If/When/How also houses the Repro Legal Helpline and the Repro Legal Defense Fund, which provide legal advice and direct support for people facing harm from punitive legal systems in their reproductive lives. Farah's publications for scholarly and popular press address criminalization of pregnancy outcomes, economic coercion in childbirth, obstetric violence, and reproductive issues in pop culture.
