Aren Z. Aizura is associate professor of gender, women, and sexuality studies at the University of Minnesota. He is the author of Mobile Subjects: Transnational Imaginaries of Gender Reassignment (2019) and coeditor of the Transgender Studies Reader 2 (2014).

Marquis Bey is assistant professor of African American studies and English at Northwestern University. Bey’s work concerns Black feminist theorizing, transgender studies, and critical theory. Bey is the author of the forthcoming book Black Trans Feminism.

Toby Beauchamp is associate professor in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of Going Stealth: Transgender Politics and U.S. Surveillance Practices (2019).

Treva Ellison is assistant professor of gender and women’s studies at Pomona College. Treva’s research is generated at the intersections of Black geographies, queer and trans history, and abolitionist praxis.

Jules Gill-Peterson is associate professor of English and gender, sexuality, and women’s studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the author of Histories of the Transgender Child (2018). She also serves as a general coeditor of TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly.

Eliza Steinbock is assistant professor of cultural analysis at Leiden University. She is the author of Shimmering Images: Trans Cinema, Embodiment, and the Aesthetics of Change (2019), coeditor of Art and Activism in the Age of Systemic Crisis: Aesthetic Resilience (2020), and project leader of The Critical Visitor consortium, developing intersectional approaches for inclusive heritage (2020 – 25).
