Drawing on the recent infrastructural turn in the social sciences, this article proposes that we understand visuality in terms of infrastructure. In this context, a distinction can be posed between films of thick visuality and others of thin visuality. While this is a general proposition, the archive this article works is that of Latin American film and criticism.
