“The Future of the Here and Now” considers the mixed temporalities of the Anthropocene. Rather than assume there is one experience of dystopic futures, the collective troubles unilinear models of past, present, and future. We also address the pressurized condition of academic work and the expression of artistic labor as modes that reveal the accelerated anxiety of impending doom. We also consider the haunting monstrosity of postapocalyptic visions.
