Pablo Álvarez has a PhD in social sciences from the University of Chile. Currently he is researcher and professor at Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago de Chile. His main topic of interest is international relations and contemporary history, with a focus on the political history of the twentieth-century nonaligned movement.

Francisco Rodriguez is a PhD student in history at the State University of New York, currently researching the cultural and social relations between the communities of the Arab diaspora in Latin America, with a focus on the conformation of cultural and political identity during the twentieth century.
