aaron j. dinkin (late Gen X with some Millennial characteristics) is an associate professor in the Department of Linguistics and Asian/Middle Eastern Languages at San Diego State University. Although he works in California, the dialectology of New York State remains a primary research focus, along with the interaction of phonological structure with phonetic variation and change and the underlying structure of linguistic variables more generally.
