He is author of An Acoustic Analysis of Vowel Variation in New World English (PADS 85) and coeditor (with Malcah Yaeger-Dror) of African American English Speakers and their Participation in Local Sound Changes: A Comparative Study (PADS 94). He has also written Sociophonetics: An Introduction (Palgrave, 2011) and edited Mexican American English: Substrate Influence and the Birth of an Ethnolect (Cambridge, 2019).
