Abstract

This article makes the case first for the concept of a participatory and agonistic political realm as developed by Hannah Arendt and then considers how it may operate in the context of the Internet. Issues of appearance, bodies, publicity, and the durability of the Internet are found not to be an impediment to online politics, but instead can actually be potential sites for reinvigorating the notion of the political realm in an online context.
