Michael T Rogers is an associate professor of Political Science and received his MA and PhD degrees in political science from the University at Albany—State University of NewYork in 2005. Rogers' specialization is political theory and his research interests include civic education, theories of democracy, American political thought (particularly the Founding era), and the history of political thought generally. Most recently, he co-edited and contributed multiple chapters to Civic Education in the 21st Century:A Multidimensional Approach (Lexington, 2015). He also has articles in the Midsouth Political Science Review and book chapters in Electoral College Reform: Challenges and Possibilities (Ashgate, 2010) and Dilemmas of Representation: Local Politics, National Factors, and the Home Styles of Modern U. S. Congress Members (SUNY Press, 2007).
