Gabeba Baderoon
Gabeba Baderoon is a poet and scholar, and the author of three poetry collections, The Dream in the Next Body, A hundred silences, and The History of Intimacy, and a monograph, Regarding Muslims: From Slavery to Post-Apartheid. She is an associate professor of women's, gender, and sexuality studies, African studies, and comparative literature at Penn State University, where she codirects the African Feminist Initiative. Baderoon was the 2023 Sarah Baartman Senior Fellow in the San and Khoi Centre at the University of Cape Town.
