Performing the “Generic Latina”: A Conversation with Teatro Luna
sobeira latorre is Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University. Her area of research involves the literatures and cultural practices of the Hispanic Caribbean and Latino populations in the United States, with a focus on gender and cultural studies. She is currently working on a book-length manuscript that looks at the cultural and literary production of Dominican Americans.
joanna l. mitchell is Assistant Professor of Spanish at Denison University. Her research includes contemporary narratives of diaspora and migration, including that of U.S. Latino and Jewish Hispanic writers. Her article “Braided Lives: Problematizing métissage/mestizaje in Edwidge Danticat's Haitian Dyaspora” appears in Black Praxis 1:1 (2004).
