elisabeth armstrong is Assistant Professor in the Program for Women's and Gender Studies at Smith College. She is the author of The Retreat from Organization: U.S. Feminism Reconceptualized (Albany: SUNY Press, 2002). She is working on a book entitled “Neoliberalisms Other: The All India Democratic Women's Association and Globalization Politics.”
