Edwidge Danticat's Kitchen History

valérie loichot is Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Emory University. Her publications deal with Creole identity in Martinique and Guadeloupe, food culture in the African Diaspora, and postcolonial cities. She has completed a book manuscript entitled “Orphan Narratives,” on the post-plantation literature of the Caribbean and the U.S. South.
