Translation: Miss Carminda and the Prince Available to Purchase
lydia billon was a news writer for the Voice of America, preparing stories for broadcast to Latin America. When she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, she taught high school Spanish; worked as a freelance writer for a number of Arts publications, as well as technology companies based in Silicon Valley; and worked as a freelance producer for the Discovery Channel. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature and Translation at the University of Arkansas. She was raised in Salvador, Bahia, and speaks Portuguese. She has written magazine articles on topics with Spanish, Cuban, and Brazilian cultural-historic themes.
