Algun Lugar en Ruinas
mirta yañez was formerly associate professor of Latin American literature at the University of Havana. As an expert on contemporary women writers in Cuba, she has edited numerous collections of short stories, poetry, and critical essays. Ms. Yanez's own creative works include Las visitras y otros poemas (1986), Algùn lugar en ruinas (1997), Todos los negros tomamos café (1976), El Diablo son las cosas (1988), and Narraciones despredenadas e incompletas (1997), and La hora de los mameyes (1983).
sonia feigenbaum is currently on leave from her Assistant Professor of Spanish position at the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. She has published essays on Cuban and Mexican literature and is presently working on an anthology of Cuban poetry in translation. Dr. Feigenbaum is a Senior Program Officer at a Washington, D.C. government agency
