Gina Athena Ulysse is a Haitian American feminist artist-scholar and professor of feminist studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In the last two decades, she has been concerned with the expression and representation of the dailyness of Black diasporic conditions; her rasanblaj approach to her art and writing practice entails ongoing crossings and dialogues in the arts, humanities, and the social sciences. She has been published in art catalogues as well as journals such as Feminist Studies, Gastronomica, Frontiers, Journal of Haitian Studies, Interim Poetics, Kerb: Journal of Landscape Architecture, and Third Text. Over the years, she has performed at a range of venues from the Bowery, the British Museum, Gorki Theatre, LaMaMa, Marcus Garvey Liberty Hall, MoMA Salon, and the MCA in Australia.
