What Transnational Feminism Has Not Disrupted Yet: Toward a Quilted Epistemology

Devaleena Das is associate professor and program director of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She has published on corporeal feminism, transnational feminism, feminist new materialism, and Asian and Australian feminisms. She is coeditor of Unveiling Desire: Fallen Women in Literature, Culture, and Films of the East (2018) and Claiming Space for Australian Women’s Writing (2017). Her forthcoming book entitled Anatomophilia: The Liberation of the Body explores alternative theories of human bodies based on narratives in real life, literature, art, religious myths, and performances. She teaches courses on body studies, health humanities, transnational and postcolonial studies of sexuality and race, feminist research and methodologies, politics of knowledge formation, and migration and diaspora studies.
