Meena Alexander
Meena Alexander, born in Allahabad, India, is considered one of the foremost poets of her generation. She has published six volumes of poetry, including the Quickly Changing River (2008). The volume of essays Poetics of Dislocation appeared in 2009 in the Michigan Poets on Poetry Series. She is Distinguished Professor of English at Hunter College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
