Virden Available to Purchase

MARTHA COLLINS's eleventh book of poetry, Casualty Reports (2022), includes a sequence on coal in which “Virden” appears. Her previous book, Because What Else Could I Do (2019), won the Poetry Society of America's William Carlos Williams Award. Other volumes include Blue Front, White Papers, and Admit One: An American Scrapbook. Collins founded the University of Massachusetts Boston creative writing program and later served as Pauline Delaney Professor of Creative Writing at Oberlin College.
