Jennifer A. Reich is Professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado Denver. She is author of two award-winning books, Calling the Shots: Why Parents Reject Vaccines and Fixing Families: Parents, Power, and the Child Welfare System, as well as dozens of articles and book chapters that explore vaccinations, reproductive health, welfare, multiracial families, and recovery after disaster. Her work has been featured in countless media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, Vox, BBC, Newsweek, and on the Netflix show, Bill Nye Saves the World.
