Politics and Expertise: How to Use Science in a Democratic Society Available to Purchase
Ann C. Keller is Associate Professor of Health Politics and Policy at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Focusing on issues in healthcare, public health, emerging technologies, and the environment, Keller studies controversies surrounding the use of science and expertise. Keller's book, Science in Environmental Policy: The Politics of Objective Advice won the 2011 Don K. Price Award from the American Political Science Association for the best book in Science and Technology Politics. Keller is the recipient of multiple NSF awards funding research on topics such as pandemic response and regulation of CRISPR/Cas-9 and autonomous vehicle technologies.
