As guest editors, Eduardo Gómez and Jennifer Prah Ruger will introduce this special issue, “The Politics of Health Policy Reform in Emerging Economies.” This issue emerged out of the idea that with the production of so much new work in global health politics, a special issue could help shape this burgeoning field. The editors received a large number of good manuscripts from a call for papers but had to make difficult choices about which small number to send out for review. The articles selected represent those that looked promising, made it through the peer-review process, and make an important contribution to the field.
