La vida militar de O’Higgins. Síntesis de la historia de la independencia Open Access

Dedicated to President Augusto Pinochet and the Chilean Junta de Gobierno, the author presents this work as his contribution to the process of “National Reconstruction.” Based entirely upon the Historia General de Chile by Diego Barros Arana and Benjamín Vicuña MacKenna’s Vida del Capitán General Bernardo O’Higgins, the book is a simple narration of military events and O’Higgins’ biography.

The author, a retired admiral and honorary president of the Instituto O’Higgins, glorifies O’Higgins and implies a positive role for the military in civilian affairs.
