Contribución a la construcción del futuro de Venezuela. Volume I, Part I: Venezuela, Año 1969

This is one of a series of papers prepared by the Centro de Estudios del Futuro de Venezuela (CEFV) as a guide in the long-range planning of the nation. Volume I contains an inventory of the present national assets with respect to their possible exploitation for economic development. The major portion is devoted to tables on education, infrastructure, and natural and financial resources. A second section gives a brief explanation of the Centro’s concept of development. This volume is a basic primer of current socio-economic conditions in Venezuela, filled with extensive statistical data. A second volume is promised that will deal with a projected blueprint of economic development.
