Tlaxcala in the Sixteenth Century

Except for a few small corrections in the text, this edition of Gibson’s pioneering study of an important Mexican region is substantially the same as that published in 1952 (reviewed in HAHR, May 1953). Gibson has used the preface, however, to indicate where new evidence may lead to conclusions different from those made in the first edition. But it is a tribute to his thorough scholarship that these emendations (like those in the text) are few and minor.
