In Leve revolutionen, a book of less than 240 pages, Mr. Morner is dealing with a number of aspects in the tradition and dynamics of Latin-American society.
The book starts with a short résumé of the colonial history of Latin America. Subsequently there are brief, though rather effective, treatments of ethnic factors and composition; economics and politics; and lastly, some satistical data relating to the various Latin-American states, and two maps showing the topography, and the distribution of population in Latin America.
Unlike the survey by the same author published in 1957 in the series called “Kulturlaendernas historia,” this work concerns itself with a number of topics, but treats, nevertheless, Latin America as a unit.
