Elias Walker Vitulli is an independent scholar whose work explores the connections between queer and trans studies, critical disability studies, critical ethnic studies, and critical prison studies. He is currently working on a book manuscript that examines the history of US penal policies and practices regarding the management of gender nonconforming and trans people from the early twentieth century to the present.
