Navigating Nature in the Anthropocene
Bryan E. Bannon is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Environmental Studies and Sustainability Program at Merrimack College. His research pertains to the existential questions the current environmental crisis raises, specifically how humanity might think of itself and the natural world in a way that enables a healthier relationship. He is the author of From Mastery to Mystery: a Phenomenological Foundation for an Environmental Ethic (Ohio University Press, 2014). He is currently working on a manuscript describing how friendship can serve as a helpful model for the human relationship to the rest of nature.
