The Last Ruins of Palmyra
Jillian Heydt-Stevenson is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is the author of Austen's Unbecoming Conjunctions (2005) and has edited (with Charlotte Sussman) Recognizing the Romantic Novel: New Histories of British Fiction 1780–1830 (2008). She has published on narrative theory, fashion, cosmopolitanism, ruins, landscape architecture, literature and film, and Thing Theory. She is currently completing two books, Belongings in Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century French and British Literature and The Ruined City: Palmyra during the Romantic Era.
