Judith Madera is an associate professor of English and Environmental Studies at Wake Forest University. Her areas of research include American and Caribbean literature. Her work has appeared in The Radical History Review; Discourse; and Nineteenth Century Prose. She is the author of Black Atlas: Geography and Flow in Nineteenth-Century African American Literature, forthcoming from Duke University Press in 2015.
