Rita Felski is William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of English at the University of Virginia and editor of New Literary History. She is author of Beyond Feminist Aesthetics, The Gender of Modernity, Doing Time, Literature after Feminism, and Uses of Literature, editor of Rethinking Tragedy and co-editor of Comparison: Theories, Approaches, Uses. She is currently completing a book on the hermeneutics of suspicion.
