Kazim Ali is the author of three books of poetry, The Far Mosque (Alice James, 2005), The Fortieth Day (BOA, 2008), and Sky Ward (Wesleyan, 2013), as well as a poetry-prose hybrid, Bright Felon (Wesleyan, 2009). He is also the author of two novels and two collections of essays, as well as forthcoming translations of Marguerite Duras, Ananda Devi, and Sohrab Sepehri. He is an associate professor of creative writing and comparative literature at Oberlin College.
