Interview with Lia Purpura
Julie Carr is the author of several books of poetry, most recently 100 Notes on Violence (Ahsahta Press, 2009) and Sarah-Of Fragments and Lines (Coffee House Press, 2010). Her critical monograph, Surface Tension: Ruptural Time and the Poetics of Desire in Late Victorian Poetry, is forthcoming from Dalkey Archive. She is Associate Professor of English at the University of Colorado Boulder and is the co-publisher of Counterpath Press.
John-Michael Rivera is the Director of Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he teaches cultural studies and creative nonfiction. An award-winning writer, he is also the founder and editor of Shadowbox Magazine.
