Frederick Luis Aldama is Arts and Humanities Distinguished Professor of English at the Ohio State University where he is also director of the Latino Studies Program and Latino & Latin American Studies Space for Enrichment and Research (L.A.S.E.R). He is the author and editor of twelve books. His forthcoming books include The Routledge Concise History of Latino Literature, Mex-Ciné: Mexican Filmmaking, Production, and Consumption in the 21st Century (University of Michigan Press), ¡Muy Pop! Conversations on Hispanic Popular Culture with Ilan Stavans (University of Michigan Press), Conversations on Cognitive Cultural Studies with Patrick Colm Hogan (Ohio State University Press), Formal Matters in Contemporary Latino Poetry (Palgrave-Macmillan), and Robert Rodriguez (Contemporary Film Directors/ University of Illinois Press). He has published numerous articles, co-edits the series “Cognitive Approaches to Literature and Culture” (University of Texas Press), and sits on the board for the Americas book series (Texas Tech University Press).
Patrick Colm Hogan is a professor in the Department of English, the Program in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies, the Program in India Studies, and the Program in Cognitive Science at the University of Connecticut. He is the author of thirteen books, including most recently What Literature Teaches Us About Emotion (Cambridge University Press, 2011). He has also edited or co-edited a number of works, including The Cambridge Encyclopedia of the Language Sciences (Cambridge University Press, 2011). Currently he and Frederick Aldama are co-authoring a volume of conversations on cognitive cultural studies.
