Alicia Mischa Renfroe is an associate professor of English at Middle Tennessee State University where she teaches law and literature and nineteenth-century American literature. She has published essays on Edith Wharton, Louisa May Alcott, Zora Neale Hurston, and Jack London. She is currently working on a new edition of Rebecca Harding Davis's neglected novel A Law Unto Herself for the University of Nebraska Press Legacies of Nineteenth-Century Women Writers series.
