Kate Crassons received her PhD from Duke University, and she is currently an assistant professor of English at Lehigh University. She specializes in late medieval literature and culture. Her book, The Claims of Poverty: Literature, Culture, and Ideology in Late Medieval England, is forthcoming with the University of Notre Dame Press.
