The Closet as Heterotopia: Angela Weld Grimké's “The Closing Door”

Lorna Wheeler is an assistant professor of English at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Her specialties include African American Women's Literature, the Harlem Renaissance, and Queer Theory and Literature. Currently she is working on queering the archive of early twentieth-century American literature, with a special eye toward women's contributions.
