Sara Blair teaches in the Department of English and the Program in American Culture at the University of Michigan. Her recent work focuses on the engagement of twentieth-century writers with photography, and includes “Jewish America through the Lens,” in Jewish in America (University of Michigan, 2004), which she co-edited with Jonathan Freedman, and her forthcoming Harlem Crossroads: Black Writers and the Photograph in the Twentieth Century (Princeton University Press).
