Alchemy of the Word and the lmage: Towards a New “Iconographics” of Postmodern Culture Available to Purchase
Laurence Petit is an Assistant Professor of Contemporary British Literature at Central Connecticut State University. She received her doctorate in Contemporary British Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has published several articles on text and image in the fiction of Anita Brookner and A. S. Byatt, as well as translations of theoretical essays by George Bataille and Pierre Bourdieu. She is currently working on a book exploring what she sees as an emerging trend of “iconotexts” within contemporary British fiction. She is also collaborating with Professor Karen Jacobs on a translation of two major theoretical works on text and image by French Professor Liliane Louvel.
