jonathan crewe teaches Renaissance literature and critical theory at Dartmouth College and has published extensively on Renaissance texts. He is now at work on a book dealing with topics and problems in criticism in the aftermath of the new historicism and in a cultural milieu increasingly dominated by the agendas of the new right.
