The Biopolitics of Postmodern Bodies: Determinations of Self in Immune System Discourse
Donna Haraway is a professor in the History of Consciousness Board at the University of California Santa Cruz, where she also participates in the Women's Studies Program. She is the author of “Primate Visions: Gender, Race, and Nature in the World of Modern Science” (New York: Routledge, forthcoming spring 1989) and “Simians, Cyborgs, and Women: The Reinvention of Nature” (London: Free Association Books, forthcoming 1990). She is currently writing on feminist theory, science fiction, and fictions of science and on the material and semiotic productions of the immune system in late capitalism.
