The Population Association of America has entrusted us with co-editing the flagship journal in our field, and we are delighted to host it once again at Penn State (where Gordon De Jong served as editor from 1987 to 1990). We are committed to maintaining high standards for the journal and are honored to take on this responsibility and to serve the PAA and its membership.
The transfer of the editorial office of Demography from the University of Michigan to Penn State was completed on May 1, 2016. We thank Pamela Smock for facilitating the smooth transition, and especially for including us as Deputy Editors at the beginning of 2016 and making both herself and Sara Zobl, her editorial assistant, available to answer all of our questions.
