Briankle G. Chang is associate professor in the Department of Communication, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is the author of Deconstructing Communication: Subject, Representation, and Economies of Exchange (1996) and the coeditor of Philosophy of Communication (2012).

Chris Turner lives in Birmingham, England. He was educated at the universities of Cambridge and Sussex and has worked as a translator since 1984. His translation of Marc Augé’s No Fixed Abode was recently shortlisted for the Fiction Translation Prize of the French-American Foundation.
